"This is my fourth album of songs. They were recorded mostly at my home, in Nashville, on a little 4-track machine. To have recorded them on more sophisticated equipment would have been like shooting 'The Blair Witch Project' on a Hollywood set. These tunes are about an era when I was growing spiritually and exploring words, and my own way of using them. I'm very proud of the results. "I look at the stuff we so passionately collect and plastic seems to be a constant... shrink-wrapped plastic around plastic boxes around plastic discs (containing plastic art, in some cases). "Well, here's another plastic disc housed in a plastic box smothered in cellophane plastic. I like to think that the analogy stops there, but that will be for you to decide."
